Women's Golf Jack and Jill

The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club is sponsoring a Jack and Jill Tournament on July 11. “Play for Fun Under the Desert Sun” is open to all golf clubs in Canyon Lake ? Men’s Golf, Family Golf and 9ers Golf are invited to join the ladies for golf and lunch.

The tournament will be a shotgun start with a format of "2 Best Balls of the Foursome, 1 man and 1 woman." Payouts will be for both gross and net winners. The cost of the event is $35. Sign up in the Golf Pro Shop.

After Lunch Bunch

From now until October the first tee time will be 8:30 a.m., with signups between 7:15 and 8. This allows everyone to finish the course before it gets too hot.

Last week's After Lunch Bunch game was Individual Tin Whistle and some 25 players signed up with the following results:

A Flight ? 1st: Jeff Roach, 24; 2nd: Ken Dettling, 21; 3rd: Bill Hallahan, 21

B Flight ? 1st: Bob Clow, 26; 2nd: Randy Bonner, 24; 3rd: Chuck Hudson, 19

The three winners in the skins competition were Brent Snyder, Norm Morrissette and Bill Hallahan. The format for next Friday’s game will be Four Man Tin Whistle with the committee picking the teams.

The After Lunch Bunch's weekly game is open to all Canyon Lakers with an established handicap. The “Bunch” plays every Friday. Signups take place between 7:15 and 8 a.m. on Friday mornings in the Magnolia Room, or by phone at 249-4565 or 237-6102. The entry fee is $5; there is an optional skins game for an additional $5.

9ers Golf

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The group tees off at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for nine holes of golf. Any level golfer is welcome, including those who’ve only had a few lessons. Be in the Magnolia Room 30 minutes before tee time. Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA). It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club. Members play Wednesday afternoons. Applications for the Family Golf Club are available at clfamilygolf.com or contact Mary Leathley at 951-244-0114.

Women's Golf

The Women’s Golf Club meets regularly on Tuesdays to play 18 holes of golf. CLWGC is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, responsible for handicapping services for members. Men's Golf

The Men’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and holds regular open meetings the first Wednesday of each month in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.
