Around Canyon Lake: Project Updates

The Association provides a wide variety of amenities and services to make Canyon Lake the most premiere community. For this reason, it's not uncommon to see the Association's Operations staff or contractors out and about making repairs or enhancements to improve the community.

Most recently, the Association has started the preparation work to install the playground equipment at Indian Beach. Ortco, the company the Association contracted to install the equipment started the first phase of excavating this past week. The playground will be installed at the lower portion of the park and the project is anticipated to be complete within a few weeks.

During this time, the lower portion of Indian Beach will be closed. The Association has posted construction signs in the area asking residents to avoid the lower portion of the park.

There is also construction work going on at Eastport Park. On Tuesday, November 11, a small portion of the Eastport parking lot will be set aside for construction vehicles from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This may slow exiting traffic at the East Gate, however, workers will try to be as accommodating as possible to prevent any traffic disruptions.

The Association will also be installing additional wrought iron fencing along the Fairway Estates to help prevent trespassing. This project was approved at the Board Meeting on November 4 and staff will be working with an outside contractor to solidify the project timeline.

Last year, General Manager Christopher Mitchell introduced Canyon Lake's Beautification Initiative which is aimed at returning the parks and common areas in the community back to the splendor of the past. Staff is continuing to evaluate several of the parks and equipment in conjunction with the reserve study. These and other projects to come play into this initiative.
