Horse Camp to be held in June and August

Article

Reservations are now being accepted for the Kids Summer Horse Camps at the Equestrian Center, for ages 6 to 16. Space is limited. The first session will be held Monday through Thursday, June 23 to 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. The second session will be held Monday through Thursday, August 4 to August 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. The cost of each camp is $250, including the deposit of $50.

Enjoy a fun summer learning adventure with horses and meet fellow equestrian-loving friends. This camp offers a strong focus on camper safety and participation. As campers become comfortable with daily routines, they are encouraged to contribute.

Horse trainer Kathleen Elliott teaches confident horse care, safety practices, and the joy of relationship between horse and rider. She says, "Because the camp is a non-competitive, skills-oriented camp, we pride ourselves on giving our riders sound, safe information and practice with horse care and riding. Even more than that, we guide riders into a connection with their horse that creates a lasting partnership and lifelong memory."

She adds, "A friendly atmosphere helps every camper feel important. Feeling special, campers tackle the evening, developing a confidence in their personal abilities." Snacks, drinks, games and crafts are included.
