9ers Golf Club

On Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m., the 9ers Golf Club will hold a social gathering to welcome those interested in joining the club. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided as well as an opportunity to meet some of the members and find out what the club has to offer. Meet this fun group of 9-hole golfers and enter to win a free golf lesson from the golf pro. The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The group tees off at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for nine holes of golf. Any level golfer is welcome, including those who’ve only had a few lessons. Bring a friend or meet new friends. After Lunch Bunch

After Lunch Bunch games are played every Friday and are open to all Canyon Lakers with a handicap. The entry fee is $5; there is an optional “Skins” game for an additional $5. Sign up in the Magnolia Room between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. or by calling in at either 951-249-4565 or 951-237-6102. Those who sign up by phone can get their tee time by calling the Golf Pro Shop after 9:30 a.m.

The Nomads

The Nomads are a group of Canyon Lakers who travel to other local courses on the days the Canyon Lake course is closed for maintenance. Next month’s maintenance day falls on June 9, so the Nomads will play at the Golf Club at Rancho California (old SCGA). The game is always Partners Best Ball; players can pick their own partner or foursome.

All Canyon Lakers with a handicap can join this group by signing the sheet posted on the Country Club bulletin board. For further information, contact Bob Stinson at 951-244-6127 or Fran Pothier at 951-244-5190.

Men's Golf

The Men’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and holds regular open meetings the first Wednesday of each month in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club. For membership information, contact Steve McCain 951-244-0119.

Women's Golf

The Women’s Golf Club meets regularly on Tuesdays to play 18 holes of golf. CLWGC is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, responsible for handicapping services for members. Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA). It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.  Members play Wednesday afternoons. Applications for the Family Golf Club are available at clfamilygolf.com or contact Mary Leathley at 951-244-0114.
