Driving, 'no parking' reminders for Fiesta Day


The day before and the day of the event there will be street closures and a lot of extra traffic throughout the day.

? “No Parking” signs will be posted from midnight to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, on Canyon Lake Dr. North from Sloop to Canyon Club, and on Canyon Club and Lighthouse Drives. There also will be no parking on the parade line-up streets: Yellow Feather, Mayflower, Spray and Smugglers. Parade lineup will begin at 7 a.m.

? There will be no parking at the Lodge after midnight tonight. Only vehicles with designated parking passes, vehicles with handicapped placards and golf carts will be allowed past the corner of Canyon Club and Lighthouse after the parade. These vehicles must park is designated areas. If possible, please use the shuttle service to help with traffic.

? Canyon Lake Dr. North at Steal Head and Schooner Drives will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until after the parade.

? Guests coming in the East Gate should be told to arrive prior to 8:30 a.m. or use an alternate gate for access.

? Canyon Lake Dr. South at Village Way/Sparkle Dr. will be closed off to thru traffic from 8:30 a.m. until the end of the parade.

? Residents are asked to use the free shuttle service to avoid traffic and parking congestion on the roads leading to the Lodge. There will be shuttle stops at the East Gate, at Sierra Park and at Blue Bird Hall. The shuttle service will run continuously throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Blue Bird Hall shuttle will provide service to the Country Club for dignitaries needing to return to their vehicles.

Please note: Blue Bird Hall is not a designated parking lot for shuttle riders. Please park on Blue Bird Dr.
