Twelve anglers catch 74.36 pounds of fish

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters held their first tournament of the year on January 4, with six boats and 12 anglers bringing in 21 fish for a total of 74.36 pounds. First place went to the team of Travis Smith and Don Dietz, pictured, with a weight of 28.32 pounds for five bass. Travis caught the Big Fish of the tournament at 9.92 pounds.

The team of Terry Voss and Mark Barker took 2nd place with 19.8 pounds, and the team of Mike Wiley and Rich Tucker took 3rd with 12.84 pounds.

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters have meetings in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club on the first Wednesday of each month, at 7 p.m., and hold a tournament on the following Saturday.
