Here's a whale of a day trip in San Diego

Interested in a little excursion south this month? Hornblower Cruises & Events San Diego is hosting the 6th annual San Diego Big Bay Whale Festival at the Broadway Pier, 1010 North Harbor Dr. in San Diego, on Saturday, January 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free.

The Whale Festival will offer a variety of interactive and hands-on displays, including a walk-through whale, live sea creatures, face painting and bounce houses. Enjoy the “Whale of a Stage” featuring live blues music with James Gibson Band and new country with Moon Dog and Jinnah Williams, among others.

There are chances to win free whale watching cruises and more at the KYXY and Energy 103.7 Radio booth. Kids 12 and under can cruise free (with paid adult) on Hornblower Cruises Whale Watching Cruises or Harbor Tours all day long.
