The 4th of July represented the beginning of a four-day weekend in Canyon Lake, with lake, parks, beaches, backyards and barbecues well used to celebrate America's 237th year of independence. An annual ritual in Canyon Lake on the 4th of July is the hundreds of boats cruising into the Main Lake to watch the fireworks. Chuck Smith was on hand to capture a bit of this year's scene, with boat lights and shoreline luminaries blending into a kaleidoscope of color. Randy Roberts created a video of the best eight minutes of the 20-minute fireworks show that he shared on The Friday Flyer's Facebook page and at randyanddenise.com. Randy also shares a fun 4th of July video cruise through the East Bay.
