Don't like some of the rules in Canyon Lake? Residents are reminded a workshop with the Board of Directors is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. This is an open meeting to hear member comments on the proposed revisions to the CLPOA Rules and Regulations.

For more than a year, the Rules and Regulations Committee, staff members and POA Board have been scrutinizing every section of the multi-page document to update wording and make it more user friendly for members.

According to staff, the purpose of the update and rule changes is to incorporate information required by law, comply with changes in state and local ordinances, clarify entries by removing unnecessary verbiage and better define existing rules.

The Rules and Regulations address the following aspects of the Association: Activities, Campground, Country Club, Equestrian Center, Gault Field, General Rules and Regulations, Golf Course, Lake and Marina, Lodge Lighthouse Restaurant, Parks and Beaches, Planning and Compliance, Senior Center, Swimming Pool and Tennis Courts.

The document can be found on the POA's website at canyonlakepoa.com by clicking on "Important Notices." Changes are clearly marked in red type. Members are encouraged to read the document in its entirety.

Those who can't access the Rules and Regulations online can request a hard copy at Member Services. For questions, comments or concerns, e-mail ruleupdates@canyonlakepoa.com.
