AFV announces funds to help pets of low-income owners

Animal Friends of the Valleys is happy to announce that funds are available for the care and treatment of animals for needy and low-income individuals in Southwest Riverside County. Smernoff Animal Care Fund are available to assist with dental care, medical care by a veterinarian, emergency care, lab work or other diagnostic tests, annual exams, vaccinations, unusual medical procedures or medications, on-going treatment for diabetes, euthanasia services and temporary fostering due to the hospitalization of the pet owner.

Only individuals meeting the following requirements will be eligible for assistance:

? Permanent residents of Southwest Riverside County (proof of local residency is required);

? Maximum income of $1,500 per month for one person (proof of income is required).
