At the Library: 'Pawsome Reading Therapy' continues

Article

Librarian Anna Fox invites children to practice reading out loud to a therapy dog named Sarah that is available on Saturdays. The appointments for “Pawsome Reading Therapy” can be scheduled for 15 minutes at a time. Call the Library for details.

The Preschool Story and Craft session is today, December 14, featuring the North Pole.

It's not too late to join the Winter Reading Program for children and teens. Prizes will be awarded for reading that is done from December 1 to December 29.

The Library is looking for a volunteer to be a program/activities director. "We would like someone who can spend the time locating companies or individuals who can conduct programs for  preteens, teens and adults," says Anna.

The Canyon Lake Library offers three Nook e-readers with almost 60 pre-loaded books. They can be checked out for two weeks and are non-renewable. In addition to books, other resources at the Library include books on CD, DVD rentals, periodicals and a computer lab. Archived editions of the Lighthouse Magazine and The Friday Flyer also can be viewed.
