Calling all super heroes, princesses, monsters, fairies, zombies, pirates, politicians and everything in between! The annual Parade of Frights will be held in the Towne Center tomorrow, October 27, with the blood drive starting at 9 a.m. and the trick-or-treating and tethered balloon rides starting at 10.

Participants are invited to register for the Costume Contest and pick up their Treasure Maps at the Chamber of Commerce booth in front of City Hall at 10 a.m. Maps also can be picked up at participating businesses. Trick-or-treating at businesses throughout the Towne Center is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

The Costume Contests for different age groups and for pets will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The drawing for the Treasure Map winners will be held following the Costume Contest at 2 p.m.

ABC Bounce will have bounce houses, and Sandi Geer of Farmers Insurance will offer tethered hot air balloon rides until 1 p.m. for a small fee, with proceeds going to the March of Dimes. The blood drive will be ongoing until 2 p.m.

On Halloween night, October 31, from 5 to 8 p.m., Canyon Lake Community Church will offer its annual Harvest Faire for those who prefer an alternative to trick-or-treating through their neighborhoods. Details can be found on Page A-10.
