Announcement: TCHS Girls Water Polo win CIF again

The Temescal Canyon Girls Water Polo team won the CIF-SS Division 5 championship Saturday, February 25, at the William J. Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine, in the final game against top seed Bonita Bearcats (La Verne). TCHS succeeded in winning this same title last year against the same team. Several Canyon Lake youth spent Sunday, February 26, at a karate tournament held at Centennial High School in Corona, according to parent Gina Pinto. Ron Martel, one of The Friday Flyer's "Reel People," was a member of the Git-R-Done Senior Softball team that won the World Series last October. Canyon Lake resident Amie A. Kaczmarski made the academic Dean's List at Azusa Pacific University for the fall semester 2011. She is a Theater Arts major. Announcement: Hannah Henderson competing for Miss Jr. Teen

Former Canyon Lake resident Hannah Henderson was selected to participate in the 2012 Miss Teen San Bernardino Pageant competition that will take place Sunday, March 11. Hannah had to submit an application and be interviewed by the pageant coordinator in order to compete.
